Even if it's not a momentous incident, you gotta make the cagers aware that you were there so they - faint hope i know - will think first next time.

Might be time for a train horn! (search youtube or google video......)
Yep. Wot he said. In traffic I ride with finger and thumb permanently on the horn and headlamp flasher. Slightest sign of anything and I let loose on both. And hold them down until I'm quite certain Plonker is going to behave . Reinforce that with yelling at the top of my voice and waving a fist and jumping up and down in the saddle , as necessary. I'd let off rockets if I could.

Thats lucky it couldve been worse..
Iv had exactly the same thing happen but guess I didnt have my four leaf clover on me..was riding along on my old 250, lights on it was still light maybe 5pm in summer, I could see him the whole time its a wonder why some cages cant see a shining light coming towards them..
But anyway I hit the brakes, the rear a little more than the front and slid a little sideways..By the time I got to the car I was basically stopped but they were still cutting straight across and towards me, I hit the drivers door with front of the bike..got spun round scraped the rear peg and exhaust down the rest of the car somehow ripped into his door panel and took that side of bumper off!!
Good news is 1)The car came off worse than my bike did lol I rode away 2)somehow my bike bounced back off the car to the ground and I was left standing over it, came out of it with just a small scratch on my ankle (no boots back then lol)
And got some cheeeap new paintwork done!!

I do the same - flash lights - that doesn't do much but my finger hovers over the horn - I would rather use that too much - usually the get the finger too!
