Well not a lurker anymore - I have started to post.... when I've felt it wasn't too out of line to.
Originally I found this site because I was always looking for good jokes - you'd be surprised how far up google you guys come. Was a lurker for ages until to view the good jokes I had to join... wondered if I'd slip in under the radar even if I was a 'cager'
But now I even creep into other areas of KB (as you can see) and feel like I'm getting to know some of the more prolific posters anyway.
And I feel that I can't rightfully be kicked out... I hired a motorbike for over 2 years when we lived in Thailand. But now we have a child and well, the booster seat wouldn't really work and well, to be honest, much as you all deride the cage, at least it gives you some measure of protection when you meet some meatheads out there on the roads

I'd love to come on a KB ride but unfortunately living in the other hemisphere, that's a little difficult!!! Will keep on lurking till we move back at the end of next year.

    See you then!
    SPRUNG!!

Welcome Jaxi, hope you're enjoying your Northern Hemisphere winter while we're all lazing about in the sunshine here. (If anybody tells you it's raining don't believe them - they're just saying it to make you feel better.)

You're welcome to join in the babble here on te KB site, even if you can't actually meet us till next year.

    See you round...

Ah a Kevin Bloody Wilson fan.
Meat heads are not exclusive to cars an another car does provide a bigger target (sorry meant wall of force field like protection).

But seriously the only reason I have been without a bike in 14 years was when I had the cage to cart 3 kiddie seats.

Just one would have yielded a sidecar (with trainee swinger) or a trike not a cage.

    Ni..

Well I guess I count as a lurker. Haven't been on KB site in many months but am now popping around again.

Had bought a cage , but never drove it (No license, the car was supposed to motivate me towards the license but somehow that died pretty fast. That and running a 2.8l classic car costs too much.) Now am selling it and seriously considering buying a GN when the money eventually comes through. (Damn lazy people who take forever to sell their cars!).

Haven't got my bike license either, can't find where i put the damn practical skills test certificate thing since it was filed when we moved house. But am going to start the giant search for it when I have time. (Else I’ll just have to go sit it again.)

Oh well, I don't post too often as I don't usually have anything constructive to add to the conversation. But will probably attempt to involve myself...

As soon as I get the bike or gear (or both)ill definitely join in on all the fun.

I'm too lazy to get my butt out of bed most of the time for the organised weekend rides.
My bike is my primary mode of transport, esp since the damn car requires a jump start to get it going.

Frigging heck - and I have trustingly hopped onto pillion seats for decades. Thankfully I'm too old, ugly, and hopefully wise, to be duped or phucked around with. I thought bikers were all nice people!!

Most posts on here are from Auck or Welly ( or London). No-one on here from the Manawatu seems to go biking with fellow KB'rs.

This lurker is currently bereft of a rider, so if you're safe, experienced, and have a decent pillion seat, I'm open to offers. I'm a lightweight passenger ( 35kg) so I shouldn't mess up your handling skills much.

    And great posts klingon

Yeah, I heard that the summer in NZ is yet to kick in properly…. terrible what's happening with the world coz winter has usually kicked in with a vengeance over here by now too…. We've only just dropped to single figures temperature wise! Most pleasant.

Enjoy the summer guys (when it finally arrives) and I will keep on lurking - reading about your fab rides!!!

For future reference, I think you'll find it's easier to ride up those travellator things than escalators. On the other hand, escalators are more fun to ride down.
