Good job mate. Although im not a Honda fanatic but i can surely appreciate good talent when i see one. And i must add, the photography is adds all the flavour specially with the heavy machinery in the background.
keep it up. Hope to see it around auckland.

    Hey jedi,

    Great lookin bike.
Engine and paint work catches my eye the most.
I assume the exhaust will rattle any window in the building? LOL

Meanie, hard to say how it will handle, the trail is setup ok but with a long front the turning circle is rather big and being a rigid I expect my already damaged back to take a pounding.

awesker, Yep I'll put a film clip up when it's a runner.

Macktheknife, I hope to be on the road within 6 months, need a few more parts and it's got to be certified

HeyJoe2, the exhaust will have to comply with the "fun" police...well until I get back home of course then something might accidently fall of if you get the picture.

There are lots of pics of the build here.. http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...build/?start=0

Man would I have pulled some chicks on that in the 70's....

    very cool - good onya....

Did you have to get the frame certified before paint?

Love the girder. Looks like a lot of work and looks like the link arms are inside the fork. Unusual..... Yo may need a check spring if the damping on the suspension units not up to it?

Nice bit of fabrication work!! I had a visit from Degrom he's looking at building a honda chopper as well.It got me thinking what would a TL1000 engine in a chopper frame sound like with straight pipes. Might be a project for later on this year!!
Been watching some episodes of west coast choppers, their fabrication technique makes me cringe some of the shit they do to those bikes is just wrong, grinding the frame with the engine sitting in place with no covers over it bad practice. I bet the owners of their bikes have second thoughts when they see the video of its creation. The only guy with real talent is the guy who does their spray painting and artwork hes a fucken genius!!!! He should have a show of his own!!
Nice job keep up the good work look forward to seeing the end result!

Very cool, but I think I will leave my 79 the way it is, you might be able to give the orange county boys a run for their money

Update, got some new carbs from o/s and made a bunch of internal throttles, so I made myself the guinea pig to test one. works really well and easy to fit and leaves clean handle bars.

Wouldn't mind one of those internal throttles for the Vmax. Can't put flat bars on it right now cause the cables don't clear the tank.
