    Cool

I know you are all waiting for me to post this........

I have been running with Avon tyres on my bike. The last set of Avons I managed to get 34,357kms on the Rear Tyre and 41,435kms on the Front tyre

When they were all worn out, I have again put Avons back on the bike again.
So far got 24,580 out the new Rear tyre and over 6,000 on the front tyre...
and both are going strong with lots more kms to run on them.

So who can beat 34,357kms Rear and 41,435kms Front?

Getting around 6000 out of rear and 12000 front on the Pilot Powers on the Falco
I usually get 2 rears to one front.
May the road rise up to meet you.

Generally over 10,000kms plus. Use anything I can get for around 350 a pair or less. Prefer ME33/Lasertechs as front tyres. Prefer ME55/Lasertechs for rears on the 750s. Currently trying out a BT45 on the front of Gerty. The GB has a Barracuda rear which suits the bike well. The CX has cheap tyres front (Hi-Max with similar tread pattern to ME33s) and back (Shenko something with no center groove). As yet have not cause any greif in the wet or dry.

Z1000 on Metzeler M3's got around 4000km front and rear!

Must say though the front was only eaten on the sides.

got 12500 out of my last pirelli sport demon rear. running up to 16 on the front now and she is just about done. Used for a long striaght commute everyday so they square off which is annoying but still ok.

I got 20,000km + from my rear (Pirelli Diablo) and the front lasted for another 5,000km after that (this is after I got it from it's previous owner)

I'm on my 2nd lot now ... will see how long they last! Mind you, a little ol'Hornet doesn't chew up the tyres like it's bigger brothers do!

Worst from Dunlops, rear 3200kms front 4500.
Average for Metzler Z6's 4000-4600 rear and 6500-7,000 front.
Best were Michelin Pilot Roads, 7,000 front and rear.

I am thinking of buying shares in a tyre factory cos these things aint cheap.

The best I have had from Diablo Corsa's was 3000k out of a rear.
I'm trying Road Attacks atm, just clocked up 3000k and they are around 1/2 worn, Bloody good tyre as long as you put the pressures up a tad otherwise they start melting.
Won't be going back to the Corsa's

I hope to get 12 to 13,000 Ks from a sport touring rear: Z6, BT020, etc.

Doing 20, 000 Ks a year that means two sets at $500 plus each which means every week I spend about $20.00 on tyres. I could put sportier rubber on and that'd be nice but $40.00 per week - just for tyres? No thanks!

If you just ride around the bays on sunny days, or if you're independently wealthy, (or a politician?), by all means use sports rubber. If you ride most days though, the mileage tends to dictate the choice.

How many other cruiser riders have replied?

I've had 30000+ from tyres (well, 20000+ miles). Like everything, there's no free lunch, and you pay a high price for that sticky race type rubber.

10-12,000km on sport tyres ie. Pilot powers and M3's

I ride a ZX6R...approx 50% commuting (300km/week), weekend blats (2-300km per weekend) and 7 trackdays in the last 3 months (Taupo mostly)
