Thumbs up Welcome to the scene EAST CITY MOTORCYCLES!!!

This is a tribute to a fantastic store that has just opened in East Tamaki - Allens Road, ph: 271 1085 (Phone number to be confirmed tomorrow!)

this store has far out preformed a well established bike store in Auckland, city fringe.. that isn't moving! but that is a different story that is coming really soon.. might I add it is far from complimentary!

    So to the point!

Cory and Lance from East City Motorcycles have restored my faith and enjoyment in Motorcycles!

In April 2006 bought a brand spanking new Hyosung 2006 GT250R which was my baby --- up yours to everyone that is about to mock me for it!

I loved it on two wheels for the first time ever and going faster then some other 250's anyway!!!

    WOOHOO WHAT EXILERATION!

I loved this for several weeks until I had broken my baby in over the 1500km mark (yes thats 500km more than recommended) and then I got to open my baby up some.. well it didn't go much faster... hahahaha just kiddin I love this bike!

Well this is were the story turns nasty!

Longstory short I have had some serious problems with it.. (see my next post for full details, coming soon!) just a couple of the issues clutch cable stripping whilst in the coromandle and the engine cap becoming basically welded on! the height of it being in Auckland about 8-9 weeks ago, when we had the storms 150kphr winds... Well unlucky me parked my vehicle behind some bins for protection only to find the bins gone and my bike on its side with some major damage upon my return... (again wait for the full story)

Well I decided that the insurance company could take it to the bike store that I had requested for repairs, well what a mistake that was.. Basically I organised everything assessors, insurance company and repairer! great all they needed to do was talk to each other... YEAH RIGHT!

After getting the bike back the 4 weeks later for the first time and returning it shortly after and then getting it back the last friday of my holiday (prime riding time) another 3-4 weeks later only to find that it is still not right! and somethings are possibly worse then going when it went in... I was heartbroken!

especially to say that I had spent so much money and time in the store that was supposed to be maintaining my baby!

Well I heard some good things about a new Kawasaki & Hyosung dealer in Allens Road.. and figured that it couldn't get worse.. So I called them to get their opinion about the bike and was pleasantly surprised with the freindly service and fast responses.

So I told them that I would drop the bike in on the monday just gone as i wanted to go to the coromandle.. but due to the poor condition of the bike, I decided I wouldn't risk a ride to the coromandle and took the bike to them on Saturday missing out on some more of my summer! Easycity were fine with this despite no notice and even spent sometime chewing the fat with me!

I then didn't expect to hear from them for the week.. such as my previous experiences! WRONG they called me that night just with an update of what they were doing... "Hi 'Joka' we are just calling to let you know that we have assessed the repairs and this is what we are doing blah blah blah and this is how much we expect it to be blah blah.. and this what we have noted about the repairs done when your bike was knocked over" so in one night I had recieved more feedback then 7-8 weeks from the other store and I didn't have to make the call!!!

Then today I get another call "Hi 'Joka' just wanted to let you know that this is now what we are doing and your bike should be ready within the next couple of days will let you know exactly tomorrow.." WOWEE not another courtesy call! what is going on does someone know customer services?????

Well I can't say enough about these guys they have done me proud and restored my faith... I was ready to sell it and go back to a cage!

Cory and Lance you rocks ROCK I hope that I have done your service some sort of justice and you can expect regular business from me... Expect a box of booze with payment of your bill!!

    Your customer 'The Joka'

Cory is a mate of mine and will give you outstanding customer service.

I wanted to break the news about these guys but I haven't been to see him yet to be able to back up my words.

But, from my experience he will look after you and is a top bloke.

Only problem is they sell kawasaki's.

Hey thanks for the heads up on that - I may just ride in to take a look around and spend some coin on some accessories that catch my eye (damn, I'm like a frikk'n girl in a mall when it comes to bike shops!)

Just hope I don't catch Kwaka bug and end up riding one out!

Smile Welcome to the scene EAST CITY MOTORCYCLES!!!

    Hey all,

firstly thanks very much to 'The Joka' for the introduction to the KIWI BIKER Forum as well as your comments regarding our new store and the services we provide. Much apopreciated. Thanks to the other members who have also posted favourable remarks about us. As a new dealer thats starting afresh with no existing client base things can at times seem gloomy some days but to have loyalty from the outset with customers is something you cant buy. Thanks.

Dover, its been a while since we caught up. Dude when are you gonna bring that GSXR down to trade it on the #1 1000cc, 3 hundy kph bike in todays market.

I will poster regularly to keep the faithful riding community up to date with goings on from our end. We are planning a grand opening on February 17th, hope to see you all there.

Drove passed the store today and craned my neck thinking ' I never knew there was a bike shop down here' . I was going to pop in for a look, maybe tomorrow.
First the KTM shop on the main drag, now a Kawasaki/Hyosung as well, spoiled!
