yeah, its funny that peoples own personalities are generally the personalities that really fuck them off. Yer snobby tw@ mate on his guzbasket is js another one of the short sighted ignorant neurotic arses that unfortunately started believing the joke that one bike is better than the other.

Typical, two many unmoving opinions about, but such people at work make for a short day in wind up value.

With a handle like Steam, how unlikely.

I always like the way ural owners are proud of the way they keep them on the road. One bloke I know in NSW has a Spam tin filled with foam for an air filter.
    'works better than the original!'
    'But it's a &*#^*% spam tin, mate?'
    'yeah - clever hey!'
'couldn't you have taken the label off'
'but then you wouldn't know it was a spam tin.'
    '........'

Actually, I wanted the Cossack 650 that they used to advertise on the back of 'two wheels' when I was 14. I could've afforded it on my part time copy boy wages too.

But by the time I was old enough to get my 'L's it was a CB450 instead.

    Dang!

I stepped down from a 250 2 smoker to a 4 stroke wind catching nana mobile, and nobody called ME a fag!

    I feel so unloved...

There has always been a bit of stick between Harleys and Guzzis. Might have something to do with the fact that Guzzis are the only 'other' bike that the Harley fraternity show some respect for. However there will always be some stick thrown about. Sounds like your workmate is riding the wrong bike

Yeah cripes aren't they just the same with the cylinders twisted around a bit and a shaft drive added? You know they've got two wheels and all.

Me I'd ride anything, doesn't mean I'd buy it though.
    Cheers

I've got a Harley and an Italian piece of art. My opinion is that originally Harley created the image of the rebel. For us European types (We were part of the Commonwealth) Trumpies Nortons BSA's were the image of the Rebel. We were rebelling against AUTHORITY . Japanese bikes weren't part of it. Old fart's are returning to bikes, tainted by what they found interesting when they discovered bikes. You can't argue against the "Hog Culture" it's been a very successful marketing tool. The japanese bike rightly or wrongly responsible for the demise and difficulties, of the other brands. The "Original' harley brand survived. The others didn't. Knocking Harley is part of the rebel nature of non- conformists. How many knockers have actually taken a Hog for a ride with an open mind, just look at them they are extremely funcitonal appearance wise look at the motors no wires hanging down no hoses everywhere, no uneccessary chrome covers hiding functional parts. Just take a look at a modern motorcycle Bmw for instance and look at the distractions when you look at just the motor. Race bike replica's are for the track not riding to work and cruisin in the weekends. This is were we get our problem. Seriously we should all support BRONZ. The only gang that supports us. I don't even belong to them.

triumph, the bike that has the rebel feel to it, in fact it was in one of the first great movies ,the wild ones, gee way wasn't IT A HD,if they are the rebel bike, hatred to other bikes is due to only one company,it's about time they realized that the marketing is based on hatred towards other brands, they did it to one of the greats INDIAN, HD talk about being the first ?,and the best again marketing , HD do not liked to be reminded about the days of AMF when bike sale dropped of the face of the earth, then honda came in and cleaned up, and are still cleaning up,HD the company has the hatred towards othe bike companies, not so much the HD rider, but there are always a few who follow the HD line, take your bike into a HD stealer just see what reponse you get, talk to a jap dealer and see the diff

I'm not aware a disdain for Harleys or any other bike for that matter exists.

    I concur my good man...
