Binned it. Str8's arse causes Ronin to lose control

Ok. The plan was to ride out to Castle Point and show off some of the great roads we have in the 'Rapa.

My execution of the plan leaves a little to be desired as ended up rolling down the side of the road listening to the gravel on my helmet.

Merv was in front, str8 second and I was behind her (any one else see where this is going?) Down hill right hander with what turns out to be a shit surface. From memory, we were not going to quick, although not to slow either. I trail broke into the corner (gotta stop doing that) and at some point realised that the bike was standing up way to much to make the corner because of the brakes being on. Instead of letting go of the lever, leaning in and making the corner (which it would have) I sat the bike up, scrubbed of as much speed as I could on the tarmac and let go of the brakes once I hit the gravel. I do remember at this point looking at where the bike was headed and thinking "Fuck that for a laugh" so I either A: threw the bike away or B: fell of in general disgust with myself. I hit hard on my right shoulder blade and did the rolley thing as I listened to my fairings being ground down.

Bike is a lot better off than I thought it was going to be. All the levers are there. Muffler and fairings are scratched. Right front indicator has taken a leave of absence and the bars were about 4 inches out of line.

My gear is dusty but not a mark on the Dri Rider. Helmet is scratched but fine.

I'm very very very sore. Laughing hurts alot. This is not a good thing when you are talking to str8 for any length of time.

Big thanks to the fantastic KB'ers on the ride who made sure I was as ok as I was gonna be. Pulled my bike outta the ditch and brambles. Str8 for the taper to insulate the stripped indicator wires, the offer of panadol (shoulda taken it then), riding back to town with me, making coffee, showing me her pussy (so sweet) and of course, the nurses outfit (makes my legs look so long you know)

Lissa and Kinje for coming round to check on me.

    Merv for cleaning my visor.

The hitching post (no shit) at the Tinui for helping put the bars back in line.

Did I mention KBer's rock? Hell even cagers stopped to help.

The lesson? Don't watch st8's ass when cornering.... Wait for the straights.

oof, sounds like you came off sorta okay from that! Good to hear that you reflected and worked out you could have made it! Ah well, hope everything heals up quickly and you sort the ride out too!

Blimey, things could have been worse!
