Cop car 'Not In Service'

most days when im near the interscection turning into cascades road coming from botney i see this cop car driving in the opposite direction with a cover over its lights saying not in service. has anyone seen this before just thought it was weird

See it quite a bit around the Holden dealership in West Auckland when the cop cars are being serviced.

it's because NAUTECH electronics...the company who put stickers lights and all that on cop cars is in botany....

I used to road test Cop cars with the lights flashing.Too many stupid mechanics doing stuff like that and they make a new rule.

Yep.... means the mechanic is driving it to/back from a service or doing a road test as part of the service.

Saves confusion - the public may expect the driver to be a cop - which they ain't.

We used to service the RTs on the cop bikes in Palm Nth some years ago and got caught riding one around the showroom with the lights going. Oops sorry officer

dammit! all these stories about getting a clip around the ears and then let go for having 4 people on a BSA125...
or getting chaced home with a jug cord.

because we got our rights you cant do that man
