They say it WILL be the most powerful naked bike....and that's what they said when they released the Hyabusa (although the word naked wasn't used of course). They didn't tell porkies then......Bring it on!
So that does mean that the Hayabusa rumor (new motor) is correct. I take it that the new SV does have a twin plug head, abs, etc? And that we'll be getting the new 650 Bandits?

    I'm keen.

Would make a great tourer too. I wonder how mental the new 'bus will be? And will it be smaller than the current one?

Looking forward to them both a lot.

    Honda would never build either!!

    Ooo yeah. That'd be cool.

In the meantime, just punch a hole in the front of your bike and paint it baby-blue.

    Ok, here's the part I don't get.
175hp is good for 300kph easily enough on a Hayabusa.

At much over 200kph on a naked bike and your head is bobbing around like - well no need to go there. 250kph and you are freaking horizontal.

What the fuck are you going to do with 240hp on a naked bike?
There would be little point in gearing for any speed beyond 275kph. I can see people twisting the throttle at any speed and going flying off the back of the bike.
It is going to be fucking insane.

285 on the fightered 10 was pretty sweet i think headlight assembly makes a big difference to how it is in terms of buffeting etc. i'd hope they design it well to be usable like that. 240hp might a bit steep personally but we will see! this will be probably a strip bike so 240-250k on a nice low 9 sec run

Yep....and about time I reckon. The current motor has served them proud....but hey....time for an update!

I'll let you know anything I hear regarding SV's etc as soon as I hear about it.

They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

    You betting again!?!?

Ok, serious question: would it be a seriously good handling bike with 150/240mm wide tyres? Plenty of people moan and groan about how much of a difference a 190 makes to their supposedly good/great handling bikes.

I am guessing it will come with the m/c standard of 120/190(200)
