    How quick things change

About a month ago I posted a question about riding in the wet because I had my first ride home in the rain (and wasnt happy about it).

This morning it was pissing down. I cheerfully thru some jeans and shoes into a backpack, put on my gear and walked right past my nice warm car to the bike and proceeded to enjoy my ride to work.

It didnt click how much I've come on in only a month of riding - things that scared the hell out of me now dont.

This is not to say that Im over confident (far from it) - but it is allowing me to concentrate on different things, road placement, smooth gear changes, braking, safer riding etc (I'm a cruiser kind of guy - so dont think Im talking about racing around the roads)

So - to all the other newbs that write the same kind of postings as I did - dont sweat it - things get easier, you learn everyday, and you start to enjoy the riding more and more.

I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

Good on ya mate! Terrific to hear that you are increasing your discomfort zone safely and getting out there and putting it into practice!

Good on you mate good to here you are pushing the comfort zones every now and then even a little....
I use to be in the same position but made a concious decission to ride every day rain or shine to teach me new things and to build my confidance (the only one day i chose against riding due to weather was the massive storm we had 10th of aug).
I have had alot of support from other riders and alot of advice given from mentors on wed night's.....
Was nice to meet you tonight and hope to see you there next week
