A young fellow of my aquaintance done this - using my sons details to get away with it (without my sons knowledge or agreement).
He'd managed to memorize the details off the licence, and knew the address well as he used to flat there (until I, as the landlord, kicked him out for non payment of rent and damage to the property).
This worked twice for him in fact. Unfortunately on the 3rd attempt to get away with it, the arresting officer happened to be my brother
.
1. He didn't know that the person whose details he was using had an uncle who was a cop in the same town.
2. He didn't know that my son had since left that address and moved cities.
3. He didn't think that when the fines from the first 2 incidents were received by us, they would be questioned by us and an investigation would ensue.
4. He didn't think the cops would search the car
5. You'd think he'd behave when there were outstanding warrants for other unrelated offences.
6. His passenger at the time was also wanted.
Got done for all the driving offences, plus the outstanding warrants, plus the large amount of cannabis stashed in the boot of the unwarranted, unregistered car. Passenger also arrested. Both charged with giving false details. Both now in prison.
Dumb cunts.
