Are we talking 'special olympics' ? cos you know what the result will be if you win ? G.

It's ok, the auntie helen will do that for you.

No gazza. I just dont get why people feel they need they have to prove how many ponies their bike has. Like MG says her bike only had 145hp but she only got it to 140kph. What is the point of knowing how much hp if you cant use it?

I can understand it in a competitive scene where you might need every pony you could get but for road riding?

I think its a normal bike rider thing as far as I can see. I have built my bike into something a bit better and although i haven't been on a dyno , just knowing it puts out X gives me a buzz. Then when out on the track you can spot the difference as well. Maybe its a bloke thing ? Gaz.

Thats a typical shelia comment. How are going to know if you made the right adjustments to get the best out of your mods. You nuns shouldn't even be aware of the balls factor.

I got quite a kick out of spending two hours on the dyno with the sidecar getting the mixture & timing right & taking it from 187 rwhp to 227 rwhp, thats the best 168 dollars i ever spent.
I guess thats the difference between a NZ champ & an also ran.
If dynoing bikes is for wankers then bags not be the one to tell Sam Smith, Andrew Stroud & Shaun Harris etc that they are a bunch of wankers.

Nasty angry little piece of crap aint she, Just cant help herself from commentating on topics about which she has no idea, & the only reason her ZXR goes any good is because i fully sorted it out at my own expense.

227hp from a relatively stock Hayabusa is doing ok,

I think he needs to retract those comments

Its not whats inside the engine that gave us the big gain, when you work out how fuel injection works you might figure out what we did.

    K2 GSX-R 600
    K&N Filter,
    K4 cams set to 103, 105
    PAIR valves blocked
    Arrow full exhaust system
    Power Commander 3r
    Telefonica Movistar paint job

    100.8bhp at the wheel
    43.39 ftlb torques

    K4 GSX-R 600
    BMC filter
    Yoshimura cams, and valve springs
    Yoshimura block off plates
    Yoshimura full exhaust system
    Yoshimura race ECU
    Yoshimura high compression head gasket
    PC3usb

    105.16 bhp at the wheel
    43.18 ftlb torques

    Points of interest:
The K2 makes more torque than the K4
The power curves of both bikes are very close until 12'500, when the K4 edges ahead
The K2 was dynoed by the previous owner at 110bhp on a different dyno.
The K4 is leading the VMCC winter series in F2, and 2nd in F1 against much newer, and bigger cc bikes

    HP numbers are just numbers
