    My new Buell

    got a brand new 07 XB12R yesterday, cant stop grinning. 1st ever brand new bike. love it.
    interested to hear from other XB12R / 9R owners......mods?good stuff?bad stuff?what to do?what not to do?etc?

    I'm just trying to decide how to tell my missus that i've kind of bought a 06 Ulysses.
    Just need to arrange a time to pick it up.

    I thought about just bringing it home, but i need a lift to the bike shop get it.

    Shes already said no to me getting another bike "especially one that expensive".

    Well its always better to do it,then take the consenquences...

    Has worked so far for me..Might be pushing my luck now thou.

    Any way They say silence is golden.

    Nice, congrat's dude.

    Had mine a couple of months, only now got it dialed in nicely, (they are sensitive to sag adjustmenst in particular). Off for a mild fang tomorrow morning.

    oh yeah, tyres: the metzlers are good
    fuel: I prefer 98 (BP)

    sheeeet after talking to you at Whangamata last Saturday I didn't realise that you were going to get the Buel so soon fuckin good one Dude she will surely handle way better than the GS1200 enjoy

    mate of mine has just got back from usa riding more than 9000 miles in 4 weeks - wisconsin, canada, alaska, california, mexico, back to wisconsin. 2-up with full hard luggage.

    his race kitted xb12 ran at 90-100mph most the time when roads/cops let him. the bmw 1200 cruiser riding with him couldn't keep up for most of the part (max speed 92mph on gps).

    only problem was a cracked cylinder in san diego. fixed in 1/2 a day with new bits bought over the counter. it actually started as a broken head bolt, and the bike shop broke the easy-out in it, cracking the cylinder in the process.
