Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.

Few months back I joined a KB ride to the Okororie pub in the Waikato.
After getting "dropped in on", and then having my line into corners jumped, or my braking area stolen, I now understand why so many nthern crew wipe out each week.
Sunday arvo rides in the country ARE NOT your personal race tracks. Tractors, stock, kids playing near country roads need alot more respect than what was dished up that day.
A small bunch in that ride need to grow a brain.
I now choose who I ride with, and most are not KB members.

Single marque rides are the wierdest.

Ducati, Triumph, Honda, Harley etc etc

what are they afraid of? do they really think their chosen badge is anything particularly special?

I hear the Rats have lost the plot. Ulysseus type nonsense and only one non Triumph guest invite per rider. They used to be a good bunch to ride with but I doubt I'll be invited or perhaps want to ride with them now they have these crazy new rules.

thats exactly why i try and limit my group rides to one or two a year... one huge group ride numbering over 50 bikes is my standard, but have also done another smaller group ride [where i got left behind to putt along happily, lol. ] and it would appear there will be a toy run the same weekend as the burtfest down in invers, so ill try and tag along on that as well.

the huge ride i do, i usually end up second to last in the pack, after the big riders have shot past on one wheel, still inside my lane with little or no warning [check mirror, clear, check again a second later, all i get is a blur that then ends up in front.] this years one we had something like 90 bikes and over 100 registrations. i stuck myself in the middle when we left town, but by the time we hit turakina, there was my neighbour on his old british bike and the tail end charley behind me.

the really happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour.

Yep. Same riders that I would of enjoyed filling in with dirt on the speedway chair, if they had the balls to attempt such things.
Alas, there only thrills are to risk third party riders and joe public, and playing hide the soggy biscuit with their mates.

Don't know what the 'rats' are doing , but if you want to go on a 'single marque' ride I'll let you know when the next HONDA club run is on. They are organised by HONDA for HONDA riders but anyone can come on any brand of bike , even KTM's .

Looks like the rule is working fine. Can't say I blame them for wanting to keep the likes of you away.
