Follow the bikes in front. Park where they park. You are on a motorcycle. You park just whereever you want to. Works for me

Hopefully there will be a LOT more than 130.
TV 3 are supposed to have camera's there, in short we will be on display. Park where ever ?

    All the best.
    Agreed

As none of them rode bikes they look at it as something that won't affect them I guess.

We need to be seen as firm in what we are standing for but not lawless, as that would enforce many of the public's views.
    Yep I had this too

Should be as you have photographed it, though I don't like your chances of stacking 200 bikes in there. 30 mabey & even that would be a pinch.

We will make the room, it will be fine. No one needs to stress here, we ride bikes for heavens sake! As far the the Domain is concerned, park where you can, my suggestion is to go right up the top and park above the war memorial. It is large flat, sealed area.........enough of us up there and hey presto, instant parking lot! Respectfully!! No B/S! Great for cameras to film, nice backdrop.

Please people, if you park near the memorial, treat it with the respect our fallen soldiers deserve.
    Thanks.

Totally agree! This is a quiet war memorial, there is actually tour bus parking, if I stand looking at the front of the museum its to the right, take a couple of those places and then merge around the vicinity........no bullshit! just a quiet parking and gathering.

Well, following the precept of the great Duke, I got upon my horse and went to see for myself. In the rain I might add.

There's a shedload of parking at Ramarama, you could moor the Queen Mary there (well, y'couldn't of course, 'cos there's no water, but y'know what I mean ) Great big wide gravel shoulders running away on both sides of the motorway, y'could park a fleet of B trains there , or half a fleet of Goldwings, I guess. And overflow can spread down that Mahler Road, shoulders are bad, but I reckon we could take up half the road, there'd be bugger all traffic. And further up a bit is a superette with a big carpark. Late comers will just have to use a bit of initiative.

And there's that place Mr Gremlin photographed, I didn't find that. cos I didn't look, cos I was cold n wet, 'n late for m' Horlicks and slippers. The sacrifices I make, I just hope that Helmut von Hornihumper, the god of loony bikers took notice of what I do for the faith. Anyway that bit of gravel should hold another 50 or 100. Bear in mind we're not going to be there long, most folk will only be there 15 or 20 minutes.

Repeat the bit about respecting the Cenotaph, keep away from that folks. Buts there's heaps and heaps of parking at the Domain. Just spread out round the curley bits. The duckpond is reserved for the chookchasers (Unless someone turns up on a Spragthorp).

EDIT: Actually, there was quite a bit of water, but not enough to get the Queen Mary in.

bikers just need to learn how to park... the area closest to the onramp will be for those organising this and that, so they're not locked in.

Other than that, experience tells me we're shocking at parking... we park all over the place. Maybe I'll get quasi's boys to also watch out for bad parkers

    Right... more details.

I have attached a map of Auckland Domain. When we arrive, we'll aim to follow the blue route. If this has problems, you'll need to go around the domain to another entry, and park somewhere close-ish to the blue X. This is where we will meet. For the out-of-towners, I have attached a pic of what the area looks like (Yes, it will be a bit lighter ). The shot is taken from a small carpark. If we can ring it, as someone suggested, we can squeeze bikes in and around. Otherwise, park down roadsides, or something like that.

I have also attached maps of Ramarama interchange (exit 466 if coming from the North), and Bombay interchange. If for some reason, there is a problem at Ramarama, you can carry on to Bombay. From Bombay, you can go down Hillview Rd (it runs parallel to the motorway) or Great South Rd, and make your way to Bombay.

Bring 'em along, more than just bikes is good for the campaign. Just get 'em to tape some flyers etc to the rear windows or something....
