Just curious... but whats best guess on how many spectator bikes were at Paeroa on Sunday. A mate and I were discussing it but could not agree.

I would guess at no less than 3,000 - 4 certainly not unrealistic. I reckon this year must have been a record turn-out. Roll on next year!

there was at least 500 parked behind where i was sitting, and i saw 3 other big groups parked about the place.

Ask Forbes & Davies how many catalogue's they deposited on bikes as most I saw had heaps of flyers / advertising left on them.

50,000 people would be a few more than I would have estimated but a great turn out none the less.
An aside topic - anyone know of any bike accidents on Sunday? If not a credit to all riders and well done.

was sitting in the pub at the end of the straight and saw a couple of bikes sliding past. one guy hit the hay and got taken off in the ambo, on the way home, who knows?
