Bikes - target of current road safety education campaign - Rodney District

Police are currently pulling over bikers as part of a safety campaign which includes offering you the chance to win a little pack of bike safety related "stuff" sponsored by ACC and that "ride forever" thingy.

HOW DOES TOASTER KNOW THIS - I GOT PULLED OVER TODAY!

Geez... I haven't been pulled over since 1991 and that was by the M.O.T for a random breast er.... breath test (either that or he didn't like the matt back ford escort, my close cut hair style, black jeans and ripped black jersey).

The reason for the thread- to remind you that it is legal for police to pull you over to check your licence, WOF, rego, plate, bike/tyre condition, lights, brakes etc etc etc the list goes on - so there is no point arguing that they have no legal right to pull you over.

So if you are like me happily cruising along and you get the disco lights going in your side mirrors, then that may be why they want to say allo allo allo to us bikers at the moment.

The OTHER reason for the thread - make sure you carry your licence and have all your stuff up to date and up to standard - you will be stopped.

Well, considering that Rodney is the hunting ground of the Infamous Ginja Cunt, I'd be pretty certain that the "road safety education" bit is a load of crap.

So if I am stopped I shall certainly be quizzing him throughly about what exactly THEY are doing about road safety. And the general police right to stop motorists does NOT extend to genaral harrassment.

And thanks to those ragheads who dropped the WTC most other democracies have followed NZ's questionable lead on denying citizens the freedom to traverse the country they are a citizen of without being harassed by state officials who don't even have to uphold a pretense of suspicion of criminal behaviour. Our Grandparents generation tried to stop this sort of BS only to have it chucked back in their face 50 years later.

I find it truly pathetic how many 100s of millions of so-called educated people around the world are happy to trade a reasonable expectation of freedom in exchange for absolutely nothing.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

This could be construed as electioneering under the soon-to-be-introduced legislation...
Perhaps the ginga will receive a fine?

Mmmm. Road safety? Harrasment? Pandering to a minority of road users to buy votes? Does the truth matter or does how much you've got in the back pocket for laywers fee's help to prove your point a bit more? Pancakes? Cynical or astute? Annoying way of posting? Pancakes - with fried banana, soft bacon and maple syrup?
