    Pavement jumper - Rego 77YTB

To the guy on the Black Hyosung GT250R that jumped the Pavement on Mt Eden Rd in front of the butchery in the Mt Eden village at around 5:40pm today.

    WTF !!!

There was a parked car and guy in a BMW that had tried to squeeze through the gap but ended up blocking the left lane.
You can't just jump the pavement to go around, not in the middle of a rather busy shopping area.

I was on the GN waiting behind the guy blocking the lane and at the next set of lights I was only two cars behind you.
You can't tell me that getting two cars ahead justifies riding down the pavement.
The guys in the butchers shop were stunned and gave me a filthy look just because I happened to be on a bike.

I've been on the pavement to go round an obstacle once or twice but never in such a busy area and never for such a trivial holdup as a parked car.

I hope you or someone that knows you reads this because this kind of thing tarnishes the reputation of all bikers.

I did it one quiet morning in suburbia when a truck delivering roofing bits was blocking the road, but it was more like a small U turn on a wide driveway.

What's wrong with riding on the footpath, anyway? If there's people there, they shouldn't -- motorcycles have right-of-way on the footpath. It's in the road-code. Or it should be.

Making your bike backfire as you ride past 10cm from café tables makes the JAFAs jump and spill their soy lattés. Keeps you amused on boring commutes. If there's a grass strip between the path and the road and it's been raining, extra points if you spin the rear wheel and flick mud on the old lady behind you.

Posting his rego? WTF is this site? SNAPT?

Trying to outrun cops on a GN deserves a special prize.

And posting people's rego on here is a low stunt to pull.

    Er, I did it yesterday.

But I wasn't being a prat about it. Well, not much, anyway. Only a little bit. And the culprit in that thread nearly took me out with his maneuvering, rather than simply breaking an arbitary Non-Pavement-Jumping Biker Code.

I'm still feeling a little guilty, now, though. Thanks a bunch.

But, anyway, yes. Shoot and burn the evil baby-raping pavement-jumping motherfucker. What is the world coming to, eh?

Posting someones rego isn't cool man. Who the fuck do you think you are, the police?

And dude, your car has a speed limiter. The cops most probably don't
While you sit there liking things just cos' everyone else does, I'll be standing up here keeping it real.

I used to spend probably 60% of my working hours riding around up to 40kph on footpaths when I was delivering mail on a CT110... If the guy knew what he was doing, and didn't cause too much of an issue, let it slide...

One word: Karma... if he really deserves something bad for riding how he chooses, something bad will happen... you are not karma's fist, trigger finger, or lynch mob.

Is it just me or has there been an influx of new Police Officers on this forum. It seems as though they're all posting up peoples plates and complaining of any iddy biddy little offenses.

What is not mentioned in these types of threads seems to be the time and place. I'm sure if we saw the situation that these offenses were committed in we might have a different angle. In no way am I condoning what their actions might be, but its very easy to just point the finger.

I guess I'm just saying these "Reporting" threads are getting a little tedious.
