It is possible that luck may be a rather fragile thing.
Any sharp(ish) corner or roundabout near a gas station with a diesel pump must be treated as having the same friction coefficient as wet glass.
In town in the rain we should be looking for diesel on the road, as well as sniffing the air for it, and despite all this, it is still too easy to come unstuck on a diesel spill.
