I was considering getting chaps so that I could wear a pair of jeans around town.. would be much better than leathers with knee pads and all the rest but decided to just HTFU and deal with it.
I'm looking for a new pair of gloves though.. wouldn't mind some fingerless gloves so you can pull out a ciggie, buckle your helmet or go to the shops without having to pull off and on your gloves everytime.

I wear a set of light duty carbon/kevlar gloves that do all this. I had issues with garage door opener stuck in zip pockets. Didn't want to go fingerless so this was the next best bet. Cost a whopping $60

Fingerless gloves??............I've been thinking of getting a a pair ever since a Harley rider told me he does not have to take his gloves off to have a pee. Makes sense to me.

Yes, I find taking my gloves off to be such a chore. Of course if I wasn't stopping so often to be admired and doing more actual riding it wouldn't be a problem.
