Haast area, problems with car driver?

This is a serious request for information.

Have any of you had any problems with a cage driver in the Haast area?

Probably while traveling alone or in a small group.

I will post more later but I need to know of other incidents, so far I have three similar ones over the last couple of years. Cheers John.

Good luck with this John,your anger over the incident was pretty obvious when you pulled up in Fox,i tend to think that maybe he/they target guys riding on there own as prior to you there was us in a group of 3 and then the two guys on late model bmws with the time difference between us all not being that great,glad you came through it ok,meeting a lunatic on a one way bridge isnt my idea of fun.

What the hell did they do? It wasn't a silver legacy was it? I had one of those scream past me at 160kph+ while they jeered out the window at me just south of Fox Glacier about 3 weeks ago.

Believe me this is pretty serious shit and if left unresolved I think some poor bloody biker is going to get killed.

Had I stayed in my legal position on the road, I most definitely would be very badly injured or dead.

At the very least my bike would have been smashed and probably unrideable.

I am waiting for our local police and a police officer friend to make enquiries of the Haast police before I decide what action I can pursue.

Meanwhile any incidents that any other KBr's have experienced in the Hawea/Haast/Fox/Franz Joseph area, mainly Haast, would be appreciated.

The power of our KB network could be of great benefit in helping to get rid of this potential threat to our lives on an otherwise beautiful piece of biker heaven.

There may already be a pattern emerging of the offending groups behaviour in the area. Cheers John.

I "believe" that the drivers are locals of the area, not tourists.

I think vulnerable tourists are the target. (like lone or pairs of motorcyclists etc)

I wish I had access to *555 records, if they have such a thing.

I know of three recent incidents similar to mine.
