Is there any relation between the binning and txting? Safety tip 'don't txt and ride'. Glad it was only a lil off and big ups for continuing on

Those tracks at Kawakawa are deceiving..... you have to hit them straight on even in the dry or end up with a bit of a "tank Slapper"...... ma Bad Northland roads aren't very forgiving (its part or their charm and UNFORTUNATELY sometimes their downfall)
I ask for nothing but to ride where ever the road calls

i tell you now the fxr150 is not a tourer

seat like a bicycle and you're cranking out 10 of it's 12 thousand rpm to sit at a reasonable speed

    plus SHITTY stock tyres

mind you, if you stay on the twisties none of that matters anymore it's so damn light and because you're shifting around on the seat it even gets comfortable

I've done Auckland to the Cape and back (in one day ) on a 4 bhp BSA Bantam.

It's not the bike, it's the rider.

I hope when he turns around and gets to Orewa, he keeps heading southside to check what the weather is like in the bottom half of the Nor'Island ... it's what I would do

I told him to stop in the nearest marae and say that he was a korean investor that was looking for a new possible retirement village for elderly koreans! j/k ... but you know sillier things have happened!
