    Purely for simplicity...

We don't all remember when the cc limitation was what you could kickstart.

Besides have you seen how inappropriate my scooter is with me aboard?

    Totally the point.

Any bike can be fun with the right attitude, manhood is not measured in cc's.

Heathens! Who dares bad mouth the journey! Hah, worries about injuries and what nots are fair enough (fatalities is just plain bad voodoo..) But I would trust my safety with a few of the people on this trip. But mostly with myself, it's all about self-preservation..

On the accomodation front i'm pulling up a big fit.. err.. nothing. Don't know anybody up north unfortunately but i'll call around for a friend of a friend thing that New Zealand does so well at.

Fireball, you got any design submissions yet? I'm no artist but I know a fair few people who are. Infact, a mate of mine drew me up a little something a while ago which I think fits this occasion quite well. It was titled 'Gambling Insanity' and I have plans on get it tattoo'd across my back. Take a look, bad scan quality but what yah gonna do..

    Wot 'e said.

I think you guys are making too big a deal of this. Trip like this is no different on a small bike to a big one . Y' get on. Start up, take a squizz at the sun to figure out which way is north and off y'go . Regardless of cc . Just takes longer on a little bike

All this talk about mental challenge, and breakdowns and injuries.Meh, no more likely than any other ride.

About the only inappropriate bike I could think of is a big crusier, or an MV . Cos of the gravel.

It's just a ride north on little bikes. The only challenge is boredom. But there are compensations for that.

Love MP3 players. All your favorite music as you ride.
"I came into this game for the action, the excitement... go anywhere, travel light,... get in, get out,... wherever there's trouble, a man alone... Now they got the whole country sectioned off; you can't make a move without a form."

Paved roads are just another example of wasted tax payer dollars.
