yours bars will be 7/8" in diameter. However, measure your fork legs than get appropriate clip ons from either www.bikestore.co.nz (woodcraft) or from motomail (tomaselli), they are both around the same price ($250+/-)

Also, if you put a free-flow pipe on it wouldn't hurt to jet the carbs. I can give you the number of a dude out west who is great with carbs and not to expensive either, once you have done all the intake/exhaust mods, send it to him and he can balance/tune your carbs. PM me if you wan't his number (the guy is out west BTW)
Haha yeah it's a cafe/rat racer mix, will look gooood. The diameter was needed to know what bar ends and bar end mirror attachments to get. Are clipons difficult to install. I hear that flat bars are a little more forgiving to ride with everyday and won't affect the steering lock as badly *come in hand y for slow speed maneuvering*. Are straight through short pipes an option?

Clip ons arent difficult to install, 'specially the woodcraft ones, just bolt em on. As far as internal bar diameter, i have no clue, it should be the same for all 7/8" bars i would assume.

Straight through short pipes are an option, but probably not a very smart one

Clipons are not optional with a cafe racer

I don't think you want to go with straight-through pipes. It will sound cool for all of 30 seconds, then you'll just want the thing to shut up (and so will your neighbours and the nice policeman). Go with a megaphone, or pea shooter style or something. Not the cruiser style straight-through slash-cut kind of thing.

Cafe racer MUST (almost by definition) have either clipons, or Velo bars. And a mega exhaust. (unless you are going for a REALLY retro look, in which case a fish tail would be OK).

The rear seat hump is optional, even cafe racers need somewhere for the chick to perch.

Bahahaha. I saw a Japanese CB250RS cafe racer with a fishtail exhaust. Even had that strange Velocette square tank/seat thing going on. Thoroughly strange.

    $272 for woodcraft clip ons.

    http://www.bikestore.co.nz/products....ry=63&item=412

Easy to install, fucken great if you bin. You just slot in a replacement bar, you don't need to replace the entire assembly

Nah they're too modern and fancy and shit.

D, I got mine off eBay. Less than $100 easily. Old-style, just a chrome tube (slanting down like clip-ons should be, not flat like sprotsbike ones) with a simple clamp on the other end. Measure your fork-tube accurately (needs to be millimetre accurate) and I'll see if I can track that guy down.

Turns out the srv comes with 2 into 1 with a short megaphone exhaust. Prob is that the muffler is dented and is a one piece so de baffling will be tricky. Will CC fix the muffler and pull it apart to debaffle or do they only construct exhaust systems. Any other tradespeople who can pull apart the one piece muffler and do it up. This will save a couple hundred on getting a new muffler as there is a nice on already on it lol

Go with FilthyLukas idea. Do a search on KB for the Emgo cataloque and download that to see what mufflers it has. Dunsall replicas, shorties etc will set you back around $150 each. Any bike shop should be able to get them in in a day or two. You may have to get an adapter made up using the end of your existing muffler that mounts onto your headers.

    Nah here's the link- http://www.emgo.com/emgo_catalogs.html

You can use "ace" style handle bars which fit on your existing risers. Similar to- http://www.bellacorse.com/bcc039.htm

Ventura do 7/8" items. Bought a pair for the 550f for $50.

The Norman Hyde ones are 1", so no. The Ventura "ace type" ones are 7/8", so are compatable.
