    Time warp.

Spotted this old beauty thumping past my place today. A real blast from the past. Any of the old timers on here know what the bike is? Not much to go on but here'a a clue. It's a single cylinder ohv, I'm not 100% sure of the make myself but I have a good idea. Definitely no speed machine, just one of the many sloggers built in the UK from the mid 1920s to 1960s to haul sidecars. but it was great to hear it chugging up the hill in top gear at about 1500 rpm.

Do you want to ID the sidecar or the bike? That picture is great if you want an ID of the sidecar, but totally useless for anything but guesses on the bike. The girders put it pre 1950,although there were plenty of tele's in the late '40's.I can see two front pipes - so it's either a twin or a single with twin pipes.

Oh jeez - the first response was a Safety Nazi! What about the open face helmet - quick, someone post the missing face guy to point out the dangers of riding with an open face helmet!!!!!

Fuck all riders had , let alone wore helmets in those days ! After all , its a sidecar outfit, he's hardly likely to fall off, is he.

It's a Busmar double adult chair I think.

'S got a speedo. And on the forks, not in the tank. That might point to post war

But what I can see of the let hand silencer it looks like a fishtail. Small one. That would be earlier.

The red and cream colour scheme is probably the best bet.

Who used red and cream. Ariel? They made a 500 OHV single with twin pipes. Panthers were red.

Could be a panther. I don't see a frame down tube, which was a Panther thing (not having one, that is )

    Like this one?

Speedo forks and headlight look right

Panther was my first thought, they were built for pulling chairs. You can see the sump between the twin pipes.

I assume Mr Ness has seen the other side, since he knew that it was an OHV single. And the engine on the Panther is exceeding distinctive. So, fess up mr Ness. Is it one of Phelon and Moore's finest?

Are you sure there's twin pipes? Is that not a bit of the frame? And the bit inbetween the frame and the pipe is the hillside.

Bisa was my first thought. No second. I thought it was a 'Roper' as a George Roper.
