My bike has a cigarette-lighter style plug on the left hand side but damned small. Doesn't fit any connector I've seen and certainly not my cellphone charger.
Whats the remedy? Get a new plug wired in as replacement? Or are there adaptors?

Probably the new European standard 12v accessory plug, which supercedes the old cigarette lighter plugs on newer Eurpoean vehicles.
Probably the same one that BMW use. If so, there are adaptors. From your friendly local Jackboots-R-Us agent, or check Trademe , they're regulalry listed - search Parts and Accessories for BMW.

Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
Hi
You can get them at most auto electrical places. They look the same as the normal ciggy plugs but smaller. I just bought a standard Socket and one of these plugs and made up an adaptor lead eh.
I think that they are known as the "European" type. ...unless there is yet another type out...

Cheers team. I found a Trademe link http://tinyurl.com/3o6f8o and a US site http://www.powerletproducts.com/products/cables.php which looks right.
I'll try an auto-electrical supply shop too. A mate just told me he replaced a Powerlet socket with one from a boating supplies place - rubber sealed $13. However he's an electrician and a bit handy, I'm more inclined to get an adapter in the meantime.
I just bought a plug from Jaycar which works just fine. It was called a Power Plug, 2 pole, part number PP2090.
To see it go to www.jaycar.co.nz and type in the search box PP2090.
It fitted into the Aux power socket on the LHS of my Duc like a glove, but I wouldn't press it too hard in as the tip isnt spring loaded.
The plug cost $5.90 and all I need to do is to add leads.![]()
