Fastest way to get your licence!

    Hi everyone,

I'm searching like crazy on how to get your licence the fastest way! I want to get my motorcycle licence so that I can go on a world trip and I'm wanting to ride a motorcycle for most of it...

BUT that would mean that I'd need an international motorcycle licence to do it right? But if I get my licence her in NZ it's going to take a year and a half! Is there anyway to get it faster? Either here or in Oz??? I'm starting my trip in oz so could always do it there, I want something like they have with HT licences where you book a course and then after like three days you have your licence, I don't mind forking out a couple hundred bucks cause I really need it!

    Cheers all

In US you do a 3 day course and you get your full.

Not sure if its a good idea to do a world tour as a new rider tho , coz there is many things you haven't had a chance to learn and I think it may have disasterous consecuences.

Better get your licence here , do 20 000ks at least and then start thinging about conquering the world.

you could always get a rarotonga license and transfer it to a full with a scratch and win.

BUT as almost everyone else will say - doing a world trip on a bike with only a few km under your wheels is a sure way to increase the odds of the trip not ending well.

do the lag or try for an exemption....it is graduated to help increase your riding skills .......dont try to get up on a bigger ride just to leave a bigger rash on the road.....Good luck ride safe
I ask for nothing but to ride where ever the road calls

Nah, too relaxed to be on planet "P" I reckon. But ganja is a good bet...

Three months is about the quickest I've heard of in NZ. Search these forums and/or send a message to Tank. If you do short circuit the system then I hope you've got mucho common sense because there are some serious dragons out to get the inexperienced rider.

you can read how I did it here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=64340

Again - as someone told me - you may have your full, but remember you are still a learner - that bit of paper (or plastic) wont save your ass if your head gets too big.

Yup not planning to go off and ride around like a crazy loon straight away! I'll be riding round in either nz or aus for a couple of years at least. But mostly I'm trying to get round the 250cc rule as I don't wanna buy a 250cc bike for a year or two then have to get another one as it'll be a PITA!

I know how dangerous it is. In fact two days ago right in front of me someone got taken out by a bus. Totally wasn't his fault, he was just riding up the road and a bus pulled out of a road and straight into him!

    In France,
You need 20h training courses, road code passed, and you cant take the exam (quite hard) but then you got your full directly...
Quite expensive tho as you pay the 20h (or +) plus the exam fees
Can be done in few weeks to
and results in awesome riders lol!
