I wouldn't think twice if I was offered.

I'd love to consult an engineering type about fusing engines together. Or get into an engineering course at uni. I've always loved the idea of fusing 2 CR/KX500 barrels to make a V-Twin, or better yet, get 4 of them to make a V4. I remember coming across a site where some Americans took 2 CR500 barrels to make a parallel twin (can't seem to find the web page).

Wish i had the extra coin to go after it !

Some tyre warmers, a van, spare bike, an income to support racing it !
be a good lil chainsaw to go chop down some tall timbers on the track
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

It'd at the very least make a good drag bike motor. But it'd be sad not to take it out on the road a few times.

If your work uses web marshall to block your surfing than just navigate to either www.hidemyass.com or www.boratproxy.com and use that. It bypasses any keyword or site blocks.

PS my old Walter Wolf RG 250 was mad enough, I'd love to have a rip on a 500.

What was the Honda version of the RD500 and RG500 called. From memory it was a 400, was it a triple (like their 250 2 stroke) or was it a four?

And if the sysadmins are up to scratch, they'd be blocking anonymizing proxy sites too...

Just curious... but what makes this such a 'good buy' - am I missing something that more avid motorcycle enthusiasts may be aware of?

It was the NS400R - a 400cc 2-stroke triple. Quite a nice bike it its day, but definitely NOT an RZ or RG500 (think softer, a bit like a Blade )
I've fond feelings for my RG500, even after it tried to kill me back in '86. It was a wild ride, a bit like having an affair with a psychotic version of Natalie Portman - beautiful, petite and awesome handling but capable of spitting you off at will. Yum!

This might explain why it's a bargain. They're like rocking horse shit these days, a tad hard to find.
