I get a surprising amount of attention on the rebel actually..

I've had people try to squeeze in next to me at intersections to ask if it's a Harley or to just generally comment on it.. that I find annoying.

And then during the period where my battery was dead.. Leaving work I start putting my gear on and a mother and her child stop beside me and the mum asks if she can watch me take off cause the little kid is interested.. fair enough I say. I get on the bike and start legging it down the road just to push start the damn thing!

    Bet I looked cool.

A little difficult, but not impossible. ........ Kawasaki H2s on the other hand ... fast, excitng, and I still ride mine, and my other old Kwakas. Best of the Suzukis imho of that era was the ever reliable Titan 500. A really nice bike.

    Indeed it is,

Able to be seen from miles away on bike tours. Bloody brilliant bike, and damn near invincible too.

Cruisers seem to get more attention, the non-biking public seem to enjoy them more. Mind you I got *555'ed the other day for winding up a bitch in a Rav4 for looking at her, but I'm just waiting for the police to write so I can rant about her driving...

My XR600 may as well have been invisible, likewise the CBR600F but my old VFR700 Interceptor used to get comments. I figure it's all about the overall look (it was a pretty bike), but my black jacket, helmet and bike are a little intimidating for people to come up and chat even though I'm a wimp at heart.

The RZ draws her fair bit of attention, everyone seems to recognise it and either had a RZ250/250 or RD themselves and come over to reminisce. But you can't possibly expect to be inconspicuous on a 2-stroke now can you! And anyone who recognises the RZ comments on the YPVS as well! Ahh, apparently I have bought myself "a piece of history" or so I'm told....

Although the missus thought I was playing around with the lawnmower the first night I had the RZ in the garage...
Missus: What the f*&k is that???!!!! Where the f*&k do you think that's going??
Me: It's a [insert old broken vehicle here] can't you tell?
Missus: Oh for f*&k's sake... [slams door]
Me: Phew, lucky she didn't see what's on the trailer!

If they can see the bike through the smoke, your oil pump needs adjusting.

Since getting my new bike I have had a lot more people come up to 'talk' to me about my bike, but its big black and shiny with lotsa chrome so it kinda screams "look at me" On my old bike I had to toot my horn to get people to look at me... yeah ok - Im a show pony

cb900 is almost invisible, do get the occasional person asking about it, normally non-bikers/returning bikers, and possibly interested in one. zx10... plenty normally wanting to race it or asking for a wheelie. Ironic really, as the tiny chance they have is actually against the cb900... go figure.

I'll bet dollars to donuts that it was the mum who wanted to watch you.

the only attention I seem to get is the wrong kind.

Can't really seem to put my finger on why that is.
    It is what it is
