Helping out our fallen brother SKELSTAR.

Ok guy and girls, with Sean on the mend at an unexpectedly good rate, I figure it's best to get this goin sooner rather than later.

We had the main mans bike picked up from the "raps" last night, and got it to our garage tonight (thanks heaps to all who chipped in for the towing fee.) I'm happy to report it's in not too bad shape, with the body work looking repairable rather than in need of replacement. I have sourced a new dash already, and will put together a complete list of what we need when we return from the racing at Manfield this weekend.

So I guess for now, I think it would be nice for people to consider what or how they can contribute to the rebuild of one of the nicest guys Flame and I ever mets, "Matte Mille".

Sean is truely a brother to us, and helped us in more than one time of need, I'm not much for sentiment, but want to do something for him to see what he means in our lives.

Can a mod make this sticky for me please, and put it in the appropriate thread folder if I haven't.

    Thanks heaps all.

    Drew & Flame.

Edit, adding account number to this first post for ease of a few people that have pmed me. Thanks heaps.

    Drew or Flame,

More than happy to help. I've sent you guys a PM....

I would just like to say, that it is a beautiful thing to see, especially in todays times, with all the perceived violence, hatred, and all the negative things in this world. That there exists truly unselfish, and good old fashioned friendship which goes beyond all the mundane trivial petty day to day stuff.
And where people will do whatever it takes to help others...Makes me feel kind of honoured to be a part of it..

    You guys are awesome!!!
As I said Drew, anything I can do just let me know, maybe I'll mix the drinks for the hard workers or something being not particularly mechanically minded or good with a spray can, but happy to help where I can, just let me know.

Well this is akward, but I suppose the easiest way for people make any small contribution they can from afar. If people would like to donate some cash to the cause, pm me and I'll give you bank details. If we manage to raise more than the cost of fixing the bike, I'll throw a massive party, just kidding, all proceeds will go to Sean to help him out.

    Cheers all.

Im not sure why you are pushing this mate..... Sean's personal business is not for discussing on the internet. You either can/can't or will/won't help its really quite simple.

But Sean's personal business is being discussed on the Internet. And I haven't asked the same question twice just to be an arse, although I know that's how it may seem to some.

I'm just clarifying (for my own purposes at least) what exactly we're being asked to contribute towards. I don't mind helping other KB members. I've done so before, and will do so again.

But if Sean's bike is insured, then surely its repair and restoration should be best pursued by that channel? If there are other things Sean needs help with as a consequence of his accident, then fine, people can help out as they choose. If people are making a contribution and it's not going to be used to fix Sean's bike, even if the request for assistance is well intentioned, isn't that just a bit dishonest?
