"Hmm" is right. Don't you get too cocky straight away. I did and I put my new beloved in the gravel. We stayed upright, but it was close, and very unfunny at the time. Suggest his time you just take her home and put her to bed. There will be many many many more days to get clever on it.

I think riding it may be the go.. i'd definately have a bit of fun on the way back. No SH1 for me..

    Hmm..

You won't (safely) get from Auckland to Nelson, back over on the ferry and back to Auckland in a day. On an unknown bike. Factor in a nights accomodation.

and hookers - real bikers always budget for some hookers. I suggest south of the Waikato. A bit rough but you get plenty of kg's to the $.

Oh, I wouldn't do it in a day.

    And some good news..

I just put my 250 rebel in the mechanics today (was why I thought it'd take 3 weeks, getting the parts in) but they gave me call just 4 hours afterwards and it's sorted..

Apparently they don't sell the parts they use in the workshop. Bit miffed about that but i'm glad it's all sorted then and so quickly too.

So not so much of a rush on geting the bike anymore.. thanks for all the advice regardless!

And if I do go down and get it, i'll definately ride it back and make an adventure of it.
