    Bimotas

Wandered into the causeway bike shops on Saturday. Hadn't been for a while and discovered the Kawasaki shop has a new agency - Bimota, Moto Morini and Bennelli, and the shop was bulging..DB6's, DB7's an SB8 and an absolutely superb Tesi! The Benellis all look like transformers - not nice at all, the Morinis are OK, but nothing flash looking, but, when my (Lotto) ship comes in, it's a Tesi for me! (OK, I like oddball bikes....), although a DB7 would be a close 2nd..

Oh yes, they had an RC45 for sale, as well.......

It has hub-center steering. The following video will make everything clear.

    Hi there.
Saw it latest week at Youngs. Like the improvements you have made. Have you got the petrol tank sorted yet? Yes nice machine. I swapped from one red VTR to the newer one they had in the shop. Cheers Geoff

besides which, it is aesthetically bewdiful ...... SPman wants one to ride but i'd be happy just to have it sitting in the lounge and pat it occassionally

it is SERIOUSLY pretty, that bike

Hub steerers are cool. Also check out Veyrus. The old Tesi 2D was pretty neat, but the 3D is so stunning.

For the record, the BMW system (whatever they call it) is a copy of the Norman Hossack design. http://www.hossack-design.co.uk/

When the patent ran out, BMW (instead of doing the honourable thing) copied the design, relabelled it, and called it theirs...

Ermm, each to thier own, but trying to work out how the Benelli's can be accused of being transformer like, Yet the Bimota Tesi is gorgeous?

Anyway I am sure the shop will have them for a long time, or certainly until Bimota go bust again sometime in the next month or so. Thier problem always seems to be that using engines from oth ermanufacturers like Suzuki and Ducati leads to direct comparison with the equivalent bike, and when the Gixxer 1000 OR Duke 1098 is a better all round bike ergonomically, and in terms of performance and often finish why pay half to twice as much again for a Bimota.

Because the Bimota is exceptional. Look at one up close.
