Nice boots though. Very shiny. Good for kicking people.

So let me get this right.... When we pass another bike,
    We flash our light,
    wave first
then touch our helmet and nod like crazy
then cross our arms as in NO DEAL
and as they go past we give the sighell and one finger,
when they are past us we do the alian hand signals.
    Cool
If you are behind meDont ask as I am lost too.

After months of waving to everyone on two wheels (apart from bicyclists, and including three cops), and getting nary a response, I've given up waving.
So, if you see someone on a blue bike, who doesn't wave, that's either me, or some other grumpy koont on a blue bike.
That's assuming I ever get to ride again... 44 days so far dammit!
    ... and that's what I think.

    Meh!
I went away on vacation for 4.5 weeks or thereabouts. Before we went, my wife resigned from her job, and relinquished her carpark for the three weeks that remained (i.e., till the end of next week), to save money. So, I'm chauffeuring her to work everyday, in her car. She offered to ride pillion on the bike today, so I could ride it, but then #2Son decided he'd get some free transport after all, so I had to take the car again.
With the possible exception of when I wrote off my VFR750, this may be the longest I've not ridden a bike in a very long time. (The next longest would be when I was being sent to Perth all the time, in 1999/2000, but the longest contiguous period was four weeks).
Be alright if I was given a prize for not riding...
Oh - and in case you're asking yourself why I don't ride in the weekend, there's been only one (1!) available since we came home, and I was doing chores the whole weekend!
I can't go on the ATNR tonight (apart from the fact I'd either go mad and lose my licence, or bin it) because I have to stay home, feed the troops, that sort of thing.

    Sad story, innit?
    Sorry you asked?

Rather than a specific wave, I ride with the KB patch on my right should so oncoming traffic sees it. Sometimes works, sometimes not.

That's my plan - if they wave back it's all good and if they don't it doesn't matter

    WTF!
    Of course it matters!
They are just being rude obnoxious arseholes if they don't.

You should post their rego on KB to name and shame them.

    Bugger.
I guess it has been cleaned and made meticulous, of an evening?

If you can't ride, then tinker.
Polishing a bike counts, I hope!
