There needs to more cops, harsher penalties and much more follow ups.
They also need to get rid of some of the ridiculous laws that are just a waste of police time. Need to be more lenient on speeding and just as hard on drunk driving.

I would like to see every theft investigated as much as possible, don't let the thieves think they can get away with it easy. I wouldn't mind if we have to take money away from other areas to pay for this, like welfare for example.

crime fighting needs to start younger as well. ive just read about 3 10 year olds who set upon their teacher who is in her first year of teaching. the school is in a shit area, and the kids appear to have shit parents who are training them to follow their footsteaps. and when i was st high school i heard about one girl who threw rubbish bins etc at one teacher [but she came from a decent family... i met her mother and shes just lovely.]

Because rich people don't care about what they view as petty crime. They can afford exhorbitant insurance, or to replace cars and jewellery. They people in power are out of touch. They aren't generally the target of crime. Not many mercedes get stolen for many reasons. The middle class is again shafted.

If you're a burglar you target middle class houses. If you're a car thief you target middle class cars. Don't ask me why. If I was a burglar, or a car thief I'd be going after the rich, as they can afford to lose stuff. Still you don't become a thief or burglar by taking the moral high ground.

For some reason bank robbery's take precedence over personal or private robberies, even though the damage done to people is far worse in the private ones. Why do the banks get rights that normal people don't. Hell, why are they getting bailed out at the moment, they should be made bankrupt like everyone else would have been. The government action should merely have been to guarantee depositors. Not buy toxic "assets" off morally bereft corporations.

And you think taking the vote AWAY from people in jail would make our country a better place? You might as well start taking away the vote from anyone you don't feel 'deserves' a vote anymore - handicapped, those with an opposite political affiliation, et al.
