    Who remembers Ace bars?

(Or Z bars) they were handle bar replacements that went forward then shaped like clip ons.

Ventura did them in the 80s but were killed off by rules that welded bars not allowed apparently. These were a horrible idea anyway, yes they got the bars further forward, which was a good idea on some 70/80s bikes, but they gave a weird disconnected kind of feel.

Ok so now we can all joke about them, this is really a trawl. (yeah I could have put it in the classfd section, but not much chance of finding any that way).

I’m after some for a bucket that needs them. Have you got some old rusty or bent ones in a corner of a garage & would like to trade for pictures of the queen?

Buell 1125CR has bars like that and generally speaking Buell's parts aren't that expensive. Give the Scooter Centre a call and see if they can help

I'm a bit keen on the CR. It's fat and ugly like me, but still has some "moves".

Velo bars did a similar thing without being welded. Don't think they'd work so well with fairings, though, that was why the Ace bars had to be welded, I think

Zebraman. If I don't get any yes I would love to borrow some for the Taupo GP meet for a borrowed Kawi 100, I could fire you some money for a courier.

Otherwise anyone else have some they could part with?

I'm not buying new ones for a Buell at WMC prices. Not for a borrowed bike & not as my play money is going to be somewhat reduced when we are down to one income. Yeah go on, laugh it up Jim.

Couldn't you just buy some stainless tube ($30), hire a pipe bender ($50) and take the result to a pet welder ($50) ?

Tommaselli (available through Eurobike) do a similar bar that has adjustable 'clip on' sections. RRP $180.
