Tanker and motorcyclists collide in Waikato (15 January)

Just got this from stuff http://www.stuff.co.nz/4819678a11.html

"A tanker and three motorcycles have collided in the Waikato.

Few details are available but emergency services – including the police's Serious Crash Unit and Commercial Vehicle Investigation Unit – are at the scene.

Police say the crash happened on Te Kawa Rd, Otorohanga, south of Hamilton.

Te Kawa Rd is closed from the State Highway 3 intersection to the Te Kawa settlement."

Not a good start to the year

Fuck here we go again! I just hope the riders are ok!
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

Goodness. Do you suppose there might be other bikers hidden somewhere in the murky depths of the Waikato ? Not even Mormons, maybe? Sort of a North Island equivalent to the moa or moose in the South Island ? My stars, do y' suppose there could even be a lost tribe of them somewhere in there ?

Well, that's just what they said about that fish fossil thing - y'know , not actually a fish, more of a sort of gigantic marine woodlouse. Supposed to be extinct for a bazillion years, then one day it rocked up for breakfast just like it had never been away.

I reckon an exploration party should be sent into the Waikato. Properly equipped, pith helmets and such like, to see if they can find any spoor of the Lesser Waikato Motorcyclist.
