It's not for any emphasis that I choose the words I do.

I'm a mechanic. We swear because we were taught to. (It's a known fact that tight bolts can be frightened into loosening).

Have had a similar thing happen to me, but by another biker. Three of us riding together, I was in front and overtook 3-4 cars (Ngatea Str8's) the other two came with me, I pull back in and get over to the left of my lane (give the others room if they need it) when on my left, I see one of the bikes undertaking me. I told him at the next stop ''dont ever fucken' do that again''. Dont think I have been riding with him since, eliminate the dickheads.

I had the exact same thing happen to me a while back on the road between Kawakawa bay and Kaiaua. I told the guy in question to either lead from the start or wait 'til I wave him through 'cos he scared the crap outta me and I nearly took the both of us out.

He didn't like hearing it but, to his credit, he took it on board and our whole group has noticed that he's riding more politely in the pack.

It was a real win, we still ride together and have the odd beer together and maybe we're all just a little bit safer.

We've got the 'right' to do quite a lot of things but every now and then it would be better for all concerned not to be quite so vehement about exercising all our rights. Makes for getting on with each other better.

(I do appreciate that is stating the obvious...)

If wrongs can be righted (is that a word?) then all good.
I have been on several rides with this particular chap, and theres always something that he does, where I think mmmmmmmmm. He did apologise the last time but, I would rather not have guys like him in my zone.

But good on ya for sorting your differences out.

I knew someone clever would come out with that.

But, it's not exactly the same scenario, is it?

Thankfully the company I work for recently forbid using the cell whilst driving even though they provide one to every employee... suits me,any excuse to ignore the bloody thing...

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

I think not,it stems from the misguided propaganda that portrays motorcyles as just "toys",not vehicles, and motorcyclists as hoons
