Been thinking I might sell my DR350 and get another beemer. Build a real off road one. Kind of reluctant to hack my one up. One for exploring and one for trips.

Dunno about Barrie but Padmei's a good looking bloke.

Please do. I was extremely impressed with your rear disc conversion & a dirt bike build up is always great to read. Brotownboys (adv rider)mickey rooney's special is a cool bike.

You should really be spending more time reading the new regs tho than messing about with bikes

Dont get me started on the new regs. I asssume u talking bout electrcal ones. A whole new book of SH##T to learnOOPPS did I say that Ive been accumulating a few bits. Ive got 2 front ends. The other day I picked up a monolever rear end. Might try to get a frame so I can assemble suspension and play around with that.

Mine needed the gearbox and driveshaft to be reconditioned. Probabaly owes me around 5K+ by now. Depends what you want but I've seen a couple of good Africa Twins on TM for the same money.
Two wheels good, four wheels bad.

Don't worry Barrie. Now that you've done her up, I'll take that BMW off your hands....being a nice guy that I am, & so that you can move up onto an Africa Twin.....For $2.8k....

Fairly sure his partner finds Barrie attractive too....
Need to be careful here...I could end up sleeping somewhere NEAR (rather than with) him at the MMMM
IT'S JUST BETTER WHEN THERE'S TWINS INVOLVED..

I'd be keen to see what you come up with Phil. I really like the look of the one on advrider with the CR front end. I know I don't need a ('nother!) project right now, but there's a monolever 80 under the house that needs some love!

Have progressed getting the PD organised for sale a little: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...post1129786389

I dug through my spares and I did have a spare spark lead and cap so I just need to fit that now
A new indicator has been ordered to replace the one with a broken stalk.
A magnet has been sourced for the speedo sensor so that just needs glueing onto the front hub.

So an hour or 2 in the garage should see it right to take down for a WOF, this weekend however is dedicated to getting the 950 ready for the MMMMM ride.
