Mate wants to ride with missing fingers on right hand.

Got a mate who's missing the fingers on his right hand.

he cant operate the brake lever very well.

Dose anyone have any experience in modifying a bike to suit riding with effectively one hand.

He can use the throttle ok - maybe with something like http://www.throttlerocker.com/

    Thanks for your help.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

There are adjustable leavers out there. Some sport bikes come with them stock. You can set on how much movement do u want leaver to make.

    That might help.

Scottoiler do a "crampbuster" which is the same as the throttlerocker. About $30.00. I use one cozza scar tissue in the right hand.....doesn't help with the brake lever but makes the throttle easier.

Is he missing all four fingers, or which ones?

One obvious solution is a bike with linked brakes. Or, mount a second lever on the left hand bar (just have to be a blur of motion when slowing down, but it would work given a torquey bike that didn't need constant gearchanges). Or a thumb operated lever (like the old throttle levers). Or mount a second foot pedal , like a sidecar brake. Or use the left hand lever for the brake, and mount a foot pedal for the clutch like the old Harleys and Indians. Lots of options, all legal, most don't need certification.

Didn't Guzzi link one front disk with the rear brake in the late 70's?
A similar linked brake using two in front and one at the rear should give the right front-rear braking balance...
