there was a couple of V11 guzzi's on trade me recently about that price. 2000 / 2003 bikes with 20,000 / 25,000 km. may be worth a look.
have not seen a XB buell that price yet ( XB's are 2003 onwards I think ) but not far off that price. the older models can be bought for that kind of money but the looks are not as great IMO. however they look great customised.

If you're going for the bike that has been re-registered the person should have the before and after photo's or a link to them.
Yes the bike could have been written of for not much but what I really want to know is that at speed and going fast through a corner with bumps that the bike will behave like it should. I'd be wanting more than a inspection I'd be wanting someone I trust to run it up and also want a list of parts replaced. And probably the alignment of the front checked.
Actually for all the hassle I'd just skip it or make a ridiculous offer.
Good luck with choosing.

*Grumble grumble grumble* i have only binned one bike!
Thanks for the vote of confidence ROFL
what i was after was constructive help on what these bike ride like, from people who have ridden them, not "5 out of the 6 of your bikes look like shit"
if i wanted you opinion on what i bike looked like i would ask. As stated in my first post "I" like the look of these bikes. i have a lot of respect for the knowledge that some people have on this site including you. if the general consensus was that say for example the GSXR rode like shit and was unreliable then i would not buy it. If everyone said that it was a awesome bike all round then that would sway me in the other direction.
if you don't have anything constructive to add (see the Quote below to see an example of a constructive post) and are just out to post up shit then don't post.
thanks, i will ask for some before and after pics.
What are you smoking?
I gave you the only correct answer. Remember, I said the GSXR.
Being that you are superficial - again, I gave you the only correct answer.
With about 10,000 reviews on the Web attesting to the reliability and the legend that is the GSXR, WTF is anyone else going to add about how they ride? It's not the king of bikes for nothing nob.
I also said get it checked out - as obviously you are a noob and incapable of this yourself. Again, good advice.
Please let me know if you require any further assistance with either your bike purchase or with reading comprehension.
While I've never ridden a TL, I did own a VTR. The Suzuki is superior for performance, looks better (VTR is kinda ugly) and is probably more reliable (VTR has camchain tensioner issues).
BUT you really need to test-ride a bike - the one you buy should be the one that does it for you. Having said that, I'm sure if you bought any one of those bikes you'd be very happy with it.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()

It is what it is
The first TL looks pretty sweet.
