I'm in agreement with the need for a 'depends' option.
'Open road' covers a multitude of variety/situations...and there is never a one size fits all speed.
On the open road (HW #) I tend to sit at 5000rpm which is easier to see than my speed, and translates to about 65mph (105kph).
But on the open road (no HW#) then all bets are off...
    I didn't tick a box
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I ride to the conditions.... I ride to what the weather, traffic and road permit.... i don't do stupid arse passing moves... I hardly ever look at the speedo unless the radar goes off... I prefer to ride by the sound of the exhaust note.... music to my ears

I also change how I ride and ride the same as the people i ride with either at the speed limit or well above it...

at the end of the day if I loose my license then I only have myself to blame for it....

I ride to the conditions - road, weather, state of mind, likelihood of HP presence, pillion or solo, other traffic, etc. Usual speed is 120km as I can loose 20km when the radar detector goes off but will do what it takes (up to 160ish) to make an overtaking manoeuvre quick and safe (all factors considered).

I clicked 100 , would not want this informal poll used by the wrong people to "prove" how irresponsible motorcyclists are.

(The safe speed for the conditions, my mental ability, my riding ability, and cognitive of sign written cars with flashing lights atop) - (Healthy margin of error for fucktards, livestock, and my disfunctional brain mass and lack of skill) = safe speed.

Assuming conditions and traffic are "good" I sit the clock at 115k. Given a 7% speedo error (I think that's about right) then I am at around 108k. Fast enough to keep a place in the traffic - not so fast as to upset the LEO's. If I sit it at 100k, the traffic tries to run me off the road in an effort to get past...bastards

If I am overtaking then I might zoom up to around 120k for a brief moment whilst I execute the movement...but not if the are HP cars around...you never know who needs to fill their quota on any given day.

In general I try to keep the license clean and pay no "voluntary taxes"...

I cruise at either two thirds throttle + two thirds revs on small bikes
    OR

    around 75 - 80 on big bikes

That's been my cruising speed for over 40 years and I'm too old to be having with slowing down at my time of life.

Main roads I thump along at 110, Way to many cops, Guaranteed to see one within 5 seconds of opening her up.

Back roads, It all depends on the road, If I give her death I don't hold it up there for very long, again its about the tickets, Getting one for 180km/h would seriously fuck up my day.

100 feels fast enough on my littel GB maybe a little more when overtaking . never felt the need to go much faster, and anyway i'd father ride a slow bike fast then a fast bike slow (if that makes sense)

    Hang on.... hang on....hang on....

I thought those Open Road signs meant just that.... Open speed limit...

that's why there are also 100kph signs as well to keep you at 100kph
