Any ideas on the value of my bike?

Right my 6 month sabbatical to NZ is nearly at an end and I'm going to advertise my bike in the next few weeks.
Looking for some thoughts on what it's worth.

1999 XR400- 4000 kms on the clock (Can't guarantee as I've re vin-ed it). Reg and WOF.
Lots of go faster goodies I brought over from the UK from my last XR.

Mikuni pumper carb (The best mod ever)
    'hot' CDI unit
    K & N high flow air filter
    Iridium plug
All the Gordons Mods + resistor mod
    Billet vortip exhaust
Fork brace (For a non USD fork these thing are the goods!)

Every mod you can think of without tampering with the ultra reliable motor. Power wheelies of the throttle in 3rd sometimes 4th.

Is 4.5k about right? There is 1000 bucks worth of afters on it
    Thought please gentlemen

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. You need to find someone who is interested in the mods and doesn't mind the fact that the speedo only shows 4k.

Have you considered Part-ex ing it OR asking a dealer if they are interested in buying if from you?

You have left it late in the season to sell.

When I brought the bike it was 2 months over being able to just re rego it.
The guy I brought it off swore black and blue the kms were original. Is it possible to get this verified? Not the end of the world I suppose as these bikes are known to last for ever.

I'll probably put it on tardme with 3500 starting price and no reserve and see what happens. 1 bid could win it

It's funny re: 'late in the season'. In the UK cos the legal byways also have so much foot traffic in the summer, many of the Greenlane brigade consider the winter time 'the season' because the 'lanes' are empty and very muddy.
