Sorry the photo doesn't tell me how many km were on the tyre.
I tried to indicate in my previous post, I do not believe (though I also accept that I could be wrong) that wear is necessarily linear.

Because the tyre still looks to me from the photos like it is near the end of it's life. Your tread depth near the centre looks low, on the centre, had you tread there, it would very likely be even lower.

Why not buy a NEW high quality tyre? seeing as your life depends on it...
Since when are Z6s sub standard?

that looks like my tyre did after some rolling burnouts. but z6s always chop out like that at the end of their life...
you may find that you are thrashing too much for a touring tyre...

    Very true, that it doesn't.

lol na not burnout's, not into that.

Yep more likely thrashing a touring tyre. For those that know the Whanga road, from Stratford to Whanga & back without stopping will keep a lot of heat in your tyres if at a brisk pace I would imagine. 63km's each way & sometimes I go to the start of the Tanga Gorge & back so more like 80km each way of twisties............fark what a road

I'd have to agree. I've got supercorsas on now and the tack is unreal. But man do they wear (to be expectd). My last set was the 2CT's and I had no traction problems and they seemed to last for ages.
I'd recommend a set of these. Pricy though.
And I've started a love affair for the 55mm profile which seems to tip in easier than the 50 profile.
2CT for sure. And who really cares about the $$ when its only the rubber between you and the deck! As long as there is food in the fridge, the rents paid and theres gas in the tank

As there is no tread in the middle to gauge wear, you look at the sides and think you have enough then within a few km you have cords showing in the middle.
Yep had that problem recently, and was surprised how fast it happens.
