There are a couple of European Tiger forums that I used to frequent. I was amazed at just how many obsessive young Germans members there are. I suspect they just want to 'give the finger' to the BMW establishment.

The message I have been getting is:

    1. The BMW image is not young and cool. Old or professional is closer what BMW stands for.

    2. BMWs are no longer the 'Bulletproof' high engineering quality bikes they built their name upon.

Personally, all my BMW experiences have been very good and is was the high and upright (ideal for old farts - too stiff to bend) riding position is what lead me to buying a Tiger.

So long as I can still have my Single Malt and Shortbread.

Seriously though I could get used to heated grips and that boxer engine certainly keeps my feet warmer than on the CB.

I wouldn't want to belong to any demographic that would be willing to have someone like me as a member !

Changing the bars on the BMW turned it from a bike I didn't like to ride to one I love to ride - simple as that....you don't have to go and buy another bloody bike!!

Hey this is such a great thread I want to keep it going.
Let's categorize some other bike owners, we have already established that BMWs are for old men and hondas are for fags.

This might be useful to help answer the common question, "what bike should I buy?", well "are you a fag?" - honda, "are you an old fag?" - "can you afford 2 bikes?".

So, here goes - just for a laugh.

    BMW - old men
Honda - fags (see earlier in the thread)
    Harley - drug dealers
KTM - wankers who think their bikes are better than anybody else's (prob are)
    Suzuki - under educated poor
    Triumph - dedicated hard cunts
Gixxer - wankers who think their bikes are better than anything else
Hysong - sorry this is real bikes only
    Aprilla - over paid dicks

That's all I've got sor far. Anyone else?
