Don't worry about all the abuse, I'm pretty sure you know you fucked up without everyone telling you. This is just 'kicking a man while he is down' KB style. "Hey guys there is a guy who got busted and fined $800" followed by "ooh, where's the thread - I gotta call him a dick so he'll feel even worse". It's a shame the cop couldn't have been a bit nicer and just pinged you for the WoF/Reg - $400 is plenty, who gives a fuck about the stupid 'L' plate anyway, it is hardly a safety issue.
OH true, that would have been me you passed then. My volty looks older, but it's actually a 2000.... just smashed it up a bit :P

I can't be fucked with this shit anymore, you guys all need to get off your high horses. I'm a decent dude and don't need shit from 'net warriors'.
you made the stament mate, you've got $500 and your running round on an unwaranted bike, how's that going to pay for more than a tail light on a late model auto?

Matalor, we are simply responding in kind.If you had more about what you were positively going to do and less about how nasty we all are we might show some sympathy.
I've had experience , first hand of uninsured motorcyle riders, who have no money for WOF's Rego's and tires etc. Guess what, I don't like them anymore.
oh and guess what else, they usually don't have their licence yet either, at all! .
Now then stop the ranting and get on with fixing up your "just smashed up a bit" Volty and getting your fines sorted and come back and tell us what a great ride you had next week, we'll be able to enthuse with you and encourage you to ride with all the boxes ticked.
No one here wants to kick you while you are down, but you keep getting side tracked and threatening to do things that make us all soooooooooo scared.Come on lets see this not so bad dude.
Every day above ground is a good day!:

I ride with the L plate off cos that's what made me get pulled over the first time... riding on the motorway at 80k with an L plate....

and madbikeboy... I've been riding for over 2 years now, and I'm definitely outriding the TU250 by now... Just haven't had the cash to pay for my restricted. Ahhhh life...
Wake up, we're all suffering financially but some of us prioritise. If you've already been fined once, get your shit together and either use public transport until you can afford to get things legal, or stop whining about the cops picking on you. Doing 80kph with an L plate will get you pulled over so why do it? Especially if you're on an unwarranted and unregistered bike?

You are a fuckwit and I doubt any of us has any sympathy for you. If you can't afford to get everything sorted you have to face facts - you can't afford the bike at this point in time.

And guess what? Now that cop has got you twice, he WILL be keeping an even sharper eye out for you. Please don't come back here next week and moan about copping another $800 fine because we won't be listening.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

No - DO come back - that would be somewhat humorous.

well, if it makes you feel any better, I feel some sympathy for you. I've had numerous fines for not having a WoF/Reg in cars, usually because I didn't have the time/money to get my car up to a WoF standard (i've been a student on and off for a total of about 6 years I guess). Also, I can appreciate how disheartening it can be to land a big fine, and it makes you angry and you want to blame someone for it. Unfortunately, you can only blame yourself.

You say the bike is cheaper than the bus - presumably this is on a daily cost basis, rather than averaged over time including the other expenditure on the bike that you've mentioned, which by the sounds of it would add up to about 2.5k? If you include the $1600 of fines you've mentioned.

At the end of the day you're the one making the decisions, and you have to be man enough to accept when your decisions fuck you in the ass - as they often will. I know I've made plenty of bad calls in regards to this kind of thing, but I just accept it and move on - the only time I ever bitch about the cops or try to gain any form of sympathy is the one time I was most definitely victimised by an asshole cop.

Oh an as mentioned - if you tell them you're about to get your WoF then they'll sometimes give you a time period in which to get it and they will waive the fine

It's a myth.Maybe if you've been for a WOF,failed and are within the 28 day period for a retest they might let you off,"officer,I was just on my way to get that tyre for my WOF"....but otherwise you better be good at sucking cock.

This cockbag deserves no sympathy, doing the same thing NOT ONCE BUT TWICE!And riding a bike 7 months behind in rego fees?Fuck him.

As for the "I'm gonna get a bigger bike"bullshit, bro, get a bigger fucking BRAIN!

Pricks bitching and moaning about how they've been hard done by,jeezuz,HTFU!

Not a myth actually. I got pulled up for doing 70 in a 50 area, at the time my WoF was out by about a month, and I explained that I was waiting for the first pay from my summer job so I could afford to get my WoF, and the officer wrote on my ticket "14 days compliance" (still had to pay the speeding fine, obviously). I got my WoF within that time and sent a letter to the appropriate people and they waived it. No sucking cock but maybe the female officer was simply overwhelmed by my charm and rugged good looks?

You could always make it worse - take the bike to Uni today and post your displeasure when you get done again.

Better yet, go buy that bigger bike and repeat the exercise so you can get done for riding a larger displacement bike on the wrong license on top of everything else.

Don't forget to tell us and the cops to get fucked when you get home

    (
I got pulled up with my car overdue for WOF by a week. Didn't even realise it had run out. No time given for compliance just a 200 dollar fine. Obviously not charming enough or maybe I need to work on my cock sucking technique.

Metalor, that's the risk you take when you post anything on here. I've been on the receving end of it myself a couple of times. Just HTFU and don't take it so personally. All part of the fun.

maybe you need to sit back and take a look yourself and at your own high horse that you seem to be on and pull it out of your arse....

you are dumb enough to do the same thing again and get caught.... too fucken bad live with it and get over it.... and dont post on here thinking you are going to get sympathy when its your own stupid fault it happened....

sounds like the cop was on a good day and did not do you for speeding as well....
