Nikau Cave Cafe via Port Waikato (May 24)

Not been a (near)Auckland ride for a while and Port Waikato and area always good for a day trip.

Simple plan : leave Papakura Autobahn at 10 to Nikau Cave Cafe for lunch via Klondyke/Port Waikato Rd.

Then after a leisurley lunch/coffee/beer do a loop further south and back up through Wairamarama area.

Coulpe hours Alk-Cafe, hour or so for lunch then 2-3hr arvo ride home. For those keen will end up at Patumahoe Tavern for snack/coffee/beer.

How's that sound?

You can get to the cafe via hwy22, or the gravel down Te Akau coast rd.

I guess anything is possible, but I heard the cave has legions of anti motorcycle killer zombie glow worms.

An old AG bike would probably do & if it gets stuck we can just leave it there as a peace offering

Place certainly looks like it needs a good fumigation. Very dirty and insect infested

Damp, too. Fumigate, drain, and concrete, that's what it needs.
