I've had a few fast cars... some have even been known to go from 0 - 60mph on the same day... Okay, that was downhill, but...![]()
You don't get to be an old dog without learning a few tricks.
Shorai Powersports batteries are very trick!
Tch tch. They should be reproved for speeding . Speed kills, this I know, for the gubbermint tells me so.

I've heard through the grapevine, of a rumour of K2 thou (2up) owning a new V8 BMW M3 - twice...
$180k versus $10k...
It’s diametrically opposed to the sanitised existence of the Lemmings around me in the Dilbert Cartoon hell I live in; it’s life at full volume, perfect colour with high resolution and 10,000 watts of amplification.
Which then got a serve from a K8 GSXR600 - same rider. 7.17. Bike had a lot of work - interesting reading...:

Which just goes to show, GSXR's own the racetrack and the street...

That's impressive. I wouldn't have thought I bike would be able to outperform a seriously expensive car on the Nurburgring. Have you got the figures? How do they compare to the lists:

And if you buy matching leathers you'll blend in with all the other weekend warriors too.

Okay, so the lap record is 7.17 on a K8 GSXR600. That is backed up with a video evidencing the laptime.
So, that puts the bike second behind the Radical SR8 (whatever the fuck that is). The first real world (ish) car is the GTR at 7.27. So, I guess that answers that question.
Interesting, the MV August time is listed as 7.01 on this page - which is the only place I've seen that reported.

You should read this part - especially the highlighted bits:
The German magazine sport auto publishes its "Supertest" of cars, in which the lap time (usually driven by editor-in-chief Horst von Saurma) at the Nordschleife is the most discussed result. The magazine also runs a challenge for the fastest lap time driven with a car that is road legal (TÜV) and registered in Germany. The road legality rule also applies for the tyres.
British motorcycle magazine Performance Bikes Magazine began testing their bikes in a regular feature at the Nordschleife in March 2007 and finished in December 2007. Bikes were tested by Dale Lomas and a character named only as The Baron. As with sport auto, all machines tested are road-legal (albeit in the UK) and shod with road-legal Bridgestone BT002 Pro Race tyres. To date there are 28 lap times published in the regular feature. As motorcycles are forbidden to participate in industry pool sessions and after-hours test sessions, Performance Bikes were forced to test during quiet mid-week tourist sessions, where speed limits apply in some sections. This means their lap times are measured from bridge to gantry (see below) and are approximately 22 seconds shorter than a full 20.832 km (12.944 mi) Nordschleife lap.

Wow! That's very interesting.
Found the guy that built it on a GSXR forum... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthr...87#post3285287
