    New Bike, Yaaaaay

Well I found a new dance partner. The insurance has sorted me out and I have a new (well new to me) Duc safely in my garage. It surprised me that I was able to get a lot more bike for my money but prices seem to be dropping quite nicely at the moment.

    OK now details.....

Its a kiwi new 2000 Ducati 900ss ie with 52 thou on the clock, enough carbon fibre on her to make the space shuttle look plain, ECU upgrade, proper Ducati performance exhaust system, a complete history, metzler tyres, evidence of lots of money spent keeping her serviced and it is goooooood.

I've ridden a few different Duc's now and even a standard version of my new one and it really punctuated just how quick my modded one is. Not to mention my neighbours now officially hate me cause I can almost out loud a Harley. Its so loud I can't start it in my garage without ear plugs. Not that I'm complaining about being able to drop birds from trees, set off car alarms and scare small children at 50 paces, its a lot of fun. In fact I set off my own car alarm at 5 metres away. I even put a celebratory wheel in the air on the way home much to the entertainment of the boy racer in the honda who thought he could drag me (sucker).

Well I'm off now to put some mileage on my new baby.

Nah she's as tight as man although the reputation for useless rear view mirrors is well intact. Every Duc I've ever ridden (which is now officially 17 of em) except one ST had the worst vibrating mirrors of anything ever.
