Not as much crunch as you'd expect certainly going by the discription of the damage to the Astra that was hit.
    Up's to Bugatti I guess.
    Shame I say, real shame!!!

Ha what a waste of a nice car. The guy just ran out of talent by the sounds of things. In the latest top gear series 1 of the guys takes it up to a true 405kph. Just amazing cars.

I read about this crash in another forum.

The smashed car was actually a rental. The driver had hired it for the day (in case you're wondering, the going rate to hire a Veyron is 20,000 GBP per day).

Where does it say the car was written off? Quote "According to Sainsbury the damage to the Veyron is likely to be less severe than it appears as the car is built along the same principles as a racing car, meaning any damaged parts can be removed and replaced very quickly. The four subframes that underpin the Veyron are very strong and can themselves be relatively easily replaced." unquote
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

well the car costs like 5 million gbp to make yet they only sell it for less than 1 million, therefore the repair bill could be more than the car is worth.... Kinda werid huh?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Ah, but the Veyron is sold at a considerable LOSS. It costs alot more to make than it is sold for, so parts will be ve-hery expensive.

Then of course, I'm getting this info from something Jeremy Clarkson said, so its probably complete bullocks

EDIT: I see renegade master has beaten me to it.
One thing I find puzzling though, the guy crashed a 1000 hp car, in the rain- apparently after aquaplaning in standing water. Can you imagine what a 1000hp car would be like to drive in the rain? It'd be a fucken handfull. In some situations standing water is very difficult to see. That car would have very wide rubber, which would be a nightmare if they hit standing water- as the wider the tyre, the easier it is to aquaplane. Once a car starts aquaplaning, the driver has zero control. Anyone remember Bathurst when Jim Richards won in the GTR after a downpour of rain that saw half the cars spin off the track? I can remember another year when they were all on full wets and the same thing happened.
So exactly why is he a git?
Is it because the car was very expensive? Hmmm, the most expensive bike I currently own cost me $4K, I can't afford anything more at the moment... some people on here have written off $25k bikes. Some of them have written off more than one....
