Saw it tonight, definitely eye candy. The Persians did seem a tad ghey, had some cool freaks though. 8/10

Yeah, I've got the DVD too if anyone wants to borrow it.

I won't spoil it for any of you who haven't seen it yet, but I will say that stylistically, its definitely a movie where the Director of Photography had a large say in the look and feel. Much like Sin City in that way really.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Remind me to pick that up when I come out to your place next...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

I saw it on IMAX thursday last late session. Rippin' good sandals and spear saga, loved all the historical inaccuracies so quintessential to Hollywood made movies (ironically, the 300 Spartans of the old MGM-quality was excellent as well and a bit more accurate)

Had it all, my brother said "so, you're going to watch that homo-erotic paen to homosexual brutes? Figgers ... you'd fit in right with them" Crikey - I think he's got issues!

Now.. where did I put my Argive shield, greaves and scarlet cloak?

ps - anyone spotted the gynecomastia on some of the buffed Spartans? I didn't know they had 'roids in them those days!

pps - I was half-expecting the "Hercules does Hollywood" pisstake "Oh, Labia, Labia!" "What was that Chlamydia?" "Vagina is looking for you Labia!"
"I like to ride anyplace, anywhere, any time, any way!"

Just as long as you don't go to Sylvia Park and get stuck in the front row about 5 metres from a 20-25 metre wide screen.

So bloody big couldn't see anything properly but seemed like a decent enough movie.

Sent letter of complaint to Hoyts as it was a touch ridiculous.

The slow motion stuff is brilliant. To make a fight scene look good in slow motion is unbelivelable.
